Everyone I know loves Portuguese Tarts. They’re flaky with a gooey filling yet they’re not too sweet. Sure I can pick up one of these in the Little Portugal neighbourhood of Toronto near Dundas and Ossington, but the Double P’s were recently lucky enough to go straight to the dessert’s origin. We went to the Belem neighbourhood in Lisbon, Portugal to visit the legendary Pastéis de Belém, famous for the best Portuguese Tarts on the planet.
