The Double P’s are huge fans of potato chips, but we’ve discovered a healthy alternative that’s easy to make at home. My cousin Melanie brought Kale Chips into my life this summer and they are unbelievably crunchy, tasty and addictive. Her three kids rave about them (imagine kids eating kale, amazing!) and showed me how to make them in about seven minutes.

Sounds like seven minutes in heaven, wouldn’t you say? Read on for the simple step-by-step recipe.

When corn is in season, there is nothing tastier than grilled corn on the cob. Whether it’s covered in Mexican cheese from Café Habana in New York or purchased from One Love Corn at Toronto’s Harbourfront, these snacks will easily become your day’s highlight. However, cutting the corn off the cob can yield excellent results when you work with Mark Bittman’s Mexican Corn Salad recipe.

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Mac & Cheese, whether it’s our spicy favourite from Caren’s Wine Bar or Trader Joe’s tasty boxed variety. How did this stack up to the perennial favourite KD? Read on to find out the cheesy conclusion.

Making someone a birthday cake is so 1998. This millennium, it’s all about celebrating with a homemade meal, in this case, a b-day brunch. Just look at how happy Elena, the birthday girl, looks over-stuffing her deliciously thin French crepe. And the best part is, you can deliver this gift right to someone’s home. Armed with whip cream, chocolate sauce, various berries and dulce de leche, I headed over on a Saturday morning and took my first crack at making crepes.

How did my first attempt at making crepes turn out? Read on for the recipe and all the flippin’ details.

As the weather starts to turn into to chilly days and cool nights, the desire for hibernation and nesting sets in. We still need to eat, if not now, more than ever in order to fit into our annual winter fat suits. And fall is the time to start the official season of home culinary gatherings.

This past weekend my roommate Sarah and I invited over three good friends for a lazy Sunday brunch consisting of homemade waffles, spicy bloody marys and four-legged love. Our dear friends, Marcos, Mikee and the fiercely present Rita stopped by to listen to Lyle Lovett, read latin Cosmo, try on fur hats and dig into fresh homemade waffles.
